Athlete Spotlight - Rajini Reddy

"You don't have to get in shape before joining a gym. Just walk through the door."

Rajini has been a member of our community since 2012. For Rajini, these past 14 years of strength and conditioning training has become a way of life that has shaped how she approaches challenges, takes care of herself, and shows up for the people she loves.

Since joining Strength Haven Athletics, Rajini says she feels stronger, more energetic, and more confident. However, the biggest change has been the mindset she's developed along the way, not just the pounds she has lifted or the personal records set along the way.

Rajini has learned that fitness isn't about having a perfect workout every day. She says, “Some days I feel strong and everything comes together, and other days the workout is a struggle. I’ve learned to embrace both because consistency is what really matters.”

Being committed to fitness has made Rajini more intentional about caring for herself, making healthy choices, and staying active. She has more energy for her family and the activities she enjoys. Just as importantly, she's discovered that pushing herself physically has helped her become more resilient mentally.

One of the things she loves most about Strength Haven Athletics is the reminder that the goal is to simply keep showing up, not having the perfect workout every day. To Rajini, the real transofrmation has been that after more than a decade of CrossFit style training, she is still learning, growing, and challenging herself.

The accomplishment Rajini says is the impact it has had on her children. By consistently prioritizing her health and fitness, Rajini became a role model for them from a young age. She also found support within the community, which helped her children develop skills and confidence in the sports they played growing up. Now as adults, fitness is a natural part of their lives. Working out, staying active, and participating in sports are habits for them.

"Offering great habits and hobbies is the best thing we can pass down to our children," she says. "I'm thrilled beyond words by this accomplishment."

Looking back on her journey, Rajini has one piece of advice for anyone who feels intimidated about getting started: Don't wait. "You don't have to be the strongest or fastest person in the room," she says. "You don't have to get in shape before joining a gym. Just walk through the door."

She knows firsthand that there will be days when motivation is low, progress feels slow, or a movement doesn't go as planned, but those are often the days that matter most because they're the days that build consistency, confidence, and resilience.

What she wishes someone had told her at the beginning is that the greatest benefit of fitness is what happens to your mindset, not just what happens to your body. You become more confident, more capable, and more willing to tackle hard things.

After more than a decade of CrossFit, Rajini is still discovering new challenges, still learning, and still finding ways to grow, and that's exactly why she keeps coming back!

Thank you, Rajini, for being such an inspiring member of the Strength Haven Athletics community. Your commitment, consistency, and example continue to make a lasting impact both inside and outside the gym.
